Iles-de-la-Madeleine Bodies of Water
• A WorldWeb.com Travel Guide to Bodies of Water in Iles-de-la-Madeleine, Quebec.
This lagoon, one of the Iles de la Madeleine's few, formed as a calm pool of water between the Dune du Nord and the Dune du Sud, and supports many species of marine life such as lobster, herring and smelt.
Île de Grande-Entrée's southern end juts out into the gulf and cups a calm piece of water, making it an ideal spot to set off for a number of watersports including diving, kayaking, sailing and windsurfing. The spot is populated with artisan shops and boutiques, and is a favourite place to while away an afternoon.
