Acadian Festival

Islanders celebrate their proud Acadian heritage each August on the Ile-du-Havre-Aubert. Local artists display their talents, la Tintamarre is celebrated, which culminates in a lively parade, and the Small Boat-Building contest is an annual favourite. The festival concludes on August 15, the day of the Feast of the Assumption and a national Acadian holiday.

Saveurs des Îles (Flavours of the Islands)

Throughout the month of June, every restaurant on the island offers specials under the title of "Flavours of the Sea". The first batch of herring of the year is presented, fresh off the boat, and several other catches of the day are served up in a myriad of different ways.

Totally Lobster

From May to June of each year everything is Totally Lobster on the Îles de la Madeleine. The lagoons of the islands create the perfect environment for the tasty sea creatures to flourish, and their succulent meat is served as part of a number of regional dishes created by residents of the past.
